To Equip & Inspire
Started as an Obama-Chesky Voyager Project, Design for Bangladesh is an unparalleled opportunity for 10 low-income Bangladeshi university students, from a diverse set of backgrounds, to learn and apply design-thinking to innovate ideas to some of Bangladesh’s most pressing challenges.
Over 8 weeks, students will be taught about design-thinking, useful programming tools for prototyping, and policy analysis to deepen their understanding of product development. They will also hear from incredible industry designers and entrepreneurs. Alongside this, students will team up in order to apply design-thinking to develop their own idea for an issue they want to try and solve in Bangladesh. They will cap it off by presenting their idea and evaluating its long-term impact.

Meet our dedicated teaching team
Itbaan founded Design for Bangladesh because he cares deeply about his community in Bangladesh and wanted to improve access to design-education and opportunities for kids like him that aspire to be global changemakers.
As he realized the unique opportunity given to him as an Inaugural Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholar, he decided to make the most out of it by helping other youth in the Bangladeshi community pursue design and entrepreneurship…..
