Somaiya is a sophomore studying Computer Science Engineering at Eastern University in Dhaka. She is from the city of Savar located in the Dhaka District in Bangladesh. She is interested in innovative new technologies, like AI, and developing more intelligent systems in Bangladesh. She is passionate about helping others and wants to use her skills to improve the quality of life for her people. In her free time, she loves dancing, singing, drawing, and running outside of school. She is an adventurous spirit that pursues experiences that add new perspectives to life.

Somaiya is confident that design thinking will allow her to leverage empathy, creativity, and collaboration in order to innovate and ideate. She believes that she can leverage this understanding of design thinking to improve the lives of others across the world.
