Itbaan is a rising Senior studying Software, Policy, and Design Engineering at Stanford University, a major he created with the School of Engineering that combines Human-Computer Interaction, design-thinking, and political science. He is from Dallas, TX and is Bangladeshi-American as his family immigrated from Bangladesh in the late 90s. Itbaan is passionate about creating more human-centered products that address social issues like resource inequity. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, football, and watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Itbaan founded Design for Bangladesh because he cares deeply about his community in Bangladesh and wanted to improve access to design-education and opportunities for kids like him that aspire to be global changemakers. As he realized the unique opportunity given to him as an Inaugural Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholar, he decided to make the most out of it by helping other youth in the Bangladeshi community pursue design and entrepreneurship.
